Money Mojo...love it! And that's certainly something we could all use. It looks like you're not having any trouble with those snappy names, but it's always nice to have a good resource for ideas. Thanks for dropping by and commenting, Agatha.

I totally agree that all titles need to be snappy, sharp, and convey exactly what you are selling. I love titles that have 3 to 5 words with great syllabic sounds. I named my most recent course "6 Week Money Mojo". I can't boil down exactly how I pick my titles, I just know it when I hear it. So it's very helpful that someone wrote a book to explain how to do it!

It's exciting to see how your business is starting to blossom with just a few adjustments, but even bigger mindset shifts, Mary Lou. I'm confident that with the steps you're taking, your business is going to see increased revenue and profits this year. It's a pleasure to be in mastermind with you!

Hey Leta,
This article really hit home for me as I, too, am one of those passionate business owners you describe. The passion keeps me going, but the reality of what it takes to really run a business profitably was not clear to me in the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey. Because of your teachings, I am determined not to be one of the millions of small business casualties that occur every year -- not because of lack of passion, but because of lack of cash flow and good business management skills. Thank you for sharing your insights about this critical part to building a successful business! It is a message that can't be shared enough.

That's smart, Didi! I love numbers, too, but don't particularly enjoy the bookkeeping. I've finally figured out a system that works for me so hope you can, too. I know it will free you up to do the things that you love and are really good at.

So much truth in this article Leta! Following your example right now I am finalizing putting the legal and financial business foundation. I definitely don't like numbers, although I was good at math in school, but I don't like looking at the numbers in my business... so I am putting a person in place to take care of that and keep me informed on a monthly basis of what's happening, so it's easier to know what actions are needed for the future.

I agree completely that facilitation is pretty much a requirement, Richard. I personally have never been involved in a mastermind where it's simply a free for all. I believe structure and purpose is part of the mastermind concept and keeps it from becoming a social occasion.

However, I also believe that a mastermind need not be dependent on one facilitator only. Anyone in the group should be able to step into that role if needed and sometimes even adds a fresh perspective when they do. A true mastermind invites the equal participation of everyone bringing something to the group in both leadership and experiences to enrich the group as a whole and bring the "third mind" into play.

I've seen people call a group a "mastermind" when it's more like group coaching...and there is a difference in both purpose and participation between the two.

Thanks for dropping by and commenting. I always appreciate your input, Richard!

If needed, any member of the group could facilitate, you said. It seems to me that any meeting would need facilitation, although it may depend on the people in the group and how they came together in the first place. If some or many of the members are strangers to each other, I would think facilitation would be pretty much a given requirement (either shared or otherwise). If everyone knows each other, well then, how does one keep the group from simply being a social occasion?

In any case, appreciate the many useful tips here.
